Year Honored:

She loves Music, musical toys, and movies that have lots of music in them. Emileigh loves other kids, going outside, going for rides in the car. Her quality of life is the motivator for everything I do for her. For all she's endured she deserves things that make her happy.

Emileigh was diagnosed with Bilateral Generalized PMG (Polymicrogyria) in the NICU after looking like she was having seizures. She had breathing & eating difficulties (also associated with PMG). She became tube fed by 3 months of age. We had a good few months after her GJ Tube was placed but eventually she declined respiratory wise. We struggled for many years and finally we decided to have a Tracheostomy. It has helped very much. Generally, Em struggles daily due to being a spastic quadriplegic. She cannot hold her head up, move her body, use the bathroom, etc. She requires 100% help 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We have a lot of equipment to help keep her healthy and stable. Our #1 Most important thing is to keep her happy. She can show emotion, she has preferences on what she likes and dislikes.

Emileigh is homebound much of the year to maintain her health. We would like to be able to give her more access in the yard, around our home, and an easier way of transporting her so that she can enjoy her life a little more.
