For the past 14years, Woody and the Bucher family have allowed us to invade their lovely Mission Heights Farm the last weekend of July. This year is no different. The Farm is located at 4340 Veraestau Ln, Aurora, IN 47001 (beyond the Verastau Historic site).
MARKET STREET IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION
The normal route from downtown Aurora up to the farm on Market Street is CLOSED due to construction. You will need to access the farm from Dutch Hallow from U.S. 50. Click HERE to get directions from the fire house on Dutch Hollow and U.S. 50.
Here are some basic guidelines to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.
ALCOHOL:
We are a family-friendly event, we have initiated some rules to help ensure everyone’s enjoyment and safety.
1. Everyone consuming alcohol must be of legal age. In the state of Indiana, which is 21 years of age. Underage drinking will not be tolerated.
2. Parents are notto distribute alcohol to their underage children. There is no exception to this rule. Parents that distribute alcohol to their underaged children will be asked to leave the premises.
3. People under the age of 21 who are caught consuming alcohol will be asked to leave the premises immediately. There will be no exception to this rule.
BEER BOOTH:
1. Beer will only be given to those legal adults. The Beer Booth will ID participants and provide a wristband. Beer will only be distributed to those who are wearing an event wrist band. No exceptions.
2. No more than two beers will be given per person at a time.
3. Beer handed out will be opened by the staff working.
4. Beer booth staff will not serve beer to people they believe to be overserved.
5. The beer booth will be closed at 11pm on Friday and Saturday night
OTHER INTOXICATING SUBSTANCES:
No other intoxicating substances are permitted on the grounds of Mission Heights. Violators will be reported to authorities on site and asked to leave. If the use is underage, the authorities will be notified.
FIREWORKS:
The only people authorized to possess and use fireworks on site are the professionals with Yokum Fireworks and affiliated organizations. No exceptions.
SWIMMING
1. All swimmers under 18 are required to wear a life jacket when in the lake: no exception.
2. It is also suggested for adult swimmers use life jackets.
3. We will have some life jackets available but may not have enough for all swimmers. Please bring your own if possible.
4. On Saturday we will have lifeguards on duty, but parents must be present and watching their children swim. Children left unattended will be asked to leave the pond.
5. Everyone swimming in the pond must listen to the directions of the lifeguard and the event host. Those who choose to ignore direction will be asked to leave the pond.
6. All swimming in the pond must cease at 8:00 pm.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
1. Please bring your own chairs to sit on.
2. Pop-up tents (easy ups) are welcome but need to come down during the fireworks.
3. Woody and the Bucher's Family have donated their land for our event. All visitors are asked to help return Mission Heights to its beautiful state.
a. Place your trash in containers provided.
b. If you see trash lying around, please help by picking it up.
c. Sunday morning. We ask everyone to donate some time to help us clean up before you leave.
d. Sunday Morning Cleaning-up will start at 9 am. Your help is greatly appreciated.
e. Please review the camping rules for more information.
The most important rule of all: HAVE FUN, RELAX, BE SAFE, & CELEBRATE OUR ANGELS!
EVENT PARKING
Everyone will be required to park in the field when you first come onto the farm. The only exception will be Angels and the bands. NO OTHER EXCEPTIONS IS PERMITTED. Trams will be bringing people to the party from the parking field.
If you have an elderly or handicapped person riding with you, you will be allowed to drop them off at the party, and then you will be required to return to the field for parking.
Please know that the people who are working parking are volunteers. Please be kind and respectful. They are only ensuring we have adequate parking and following the instructions given.
If you are camping for the event, your car will be required to park in the field by Friday at 3:00pm. This will help us not have to go camper to camper on Saturday to get cars moved.
PLEASE NOTE: The road on the farm (between parking and the party) will be closed to auto and foot traffic at 9pm Saturday! This will allow us to ensure the area for fireworks is safe for the show. There will be no exceptions to this rule. No cars will be allowed to enter property after 9pm. An on-duty officer will monitor this. If you plan to leave before the fireworks show, please plan on leaving prior to the 9pm deadline.
RV CAMPING
1. We have a limited number of camping sites available for the event. These are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The only day you can bring your camper down is Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1-4 p.m.
2. Camper delivery is weather dependent. Please keep an eye out on the Oser-Roth & Friends Fest Facebook page for updates. https://www.facebook.com/OserRothFriendsFest
3. DO NOT bring campers down prior to the appointed time and just put your camper wherever. When people do that, they end up in the wrong spot or leave too much space too much space between campers. There are certain campers that need to go to the correct spot to set up tents, etc.
4. If you cannot bring your RV down that day, please contact Cindy at 513-254-8911. This does not mean you will have a spot reserved. Remember, camping is on a first come basis. You will not have access to bring your camper to the farm after the appointed time unless you contact Cindy prior.
5. We will place you where we need you. You might not be with your friends or family. This can be very tough to accomplish since so many want to camp. If you want to camp up by Woody's house that would be great. Also, we place campers based on electrical needs, a camper placed in the wrong spot will mess this plan up. If you have a generator to run, this would be awesome. This will give us additional flexibility.
6. When setting up your RV, DO NOT UNPLUG someone else's camper to plug in yours. This is rude and uncalled for. This happens every year and only places more pressure on others and will not be tolerated. This goes for water too.
7. If you have an issue with plugging your camper in, please see one of us (Dan, Trudy, Chris, Cindy, or Woody). We will figure it out.
8. Come prepared with enough spare electrical cords, converters (30amp to 50amp, or 50amp to 30amp) and cribbing to set your camper up. We will not have extras to loan out. It is also a good idea to carry a spare water manifold to help split lines.
9. When not camping, your air conditioning must be set in the off position. There is NO exception.
10. When camping, turn the air conditioning in your camper to over 80 degrees during the daytime.
11. With how tight we need to put campers you might not be able to put out awning and not your side completely out.
12. Remember we do not charge to camp; we just ask that you help with the fest, especially the trash. We also need your help on Sunday morning to help put things away and clean up.
13. Campers will not be able to leave on Sunday, July 28th until certain things are put away. Please do not be in a hurry to leave. We anticipate nobody will be able to leave until at least noon.
14. Please no dumping of the sewer tanks on the farm. Please take this with you and dump appropriately. Rember to treat the Bucher’s farm as you would your own home.
15. HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!!!!
TENT CAMPING
1. ALL TENT CAMPERS MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD, UNLESS SUPERVISED BY THEIR PARENTS.
2. There are spots to tent camp. All tent camping is to take place in the designated area. There are zero exceptions to this.
3. Tent camping is primitive, and the use of a port-a-let will be the only means of taking care of one's personal needs.
4. Tent camping will not have the same set-up and tear-down restrictions that apply to campers.
We will be preselling t-shirts again at the Oser's. Pre-sale will be on Monday (7/22) and Tuesday (7/23) from 4 pm until 7 pm. The Oser's address is 8126 Jordan Club Ct, Cleves, Ohio 45002),
